• Migration, Equality and Human Rights Research Project

    The last week of January 26 is dedicated to the conclusion of the  research project on migration, equality and human rights . At Lusíada University, headquarters in Lisbon, Prof. S. ALVES, Prof. C. BRANDAO, Prof. J. DUARTE NOGUEIRA and Prof. M. ARAUJO worked under the leadership of Prof. P. GARRIDO RODRIGUEZ. Several scientific research activities were completed, involving two universities in Portugal (Lusíada University and Lisbon University), two universities in Spain (Salamanca University and Menéndez Pelayo International University) and one university in Brazil (Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais). The results will be published in the 19th issue of the Humanities and Rights Global Network Journal (volume 8, issue 2).

  • Seminar The argument on Human Rights: from Francisco de Vitoria to the present day

    The University of Salamanca, through Professor Maria Esther Martinez Quinteiro, hosted the International Seminar on the Argument of Human Rights: from Francisco de Vitoria to the Present Day, which took place on October 10th, 2025.

    The opening of the seminar, chaired by Professor Maria Esther Martinez Quinteiro, was also attended by the event's co-organizer, Professor Claudio Brandao, who is Executive Director of the H&R Network and Professor at the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais, and Professor José Duarte Nogueira, member of H&R and Vice-Rector of Lusíada University, who gave a speech on behalf of all members of the network participating in the event.
